Hello guys, thank you for the answers. The problem here is not i2c communication. I am using MCC for it and it is pretty straight forward. The problem with this sensor is that the i2c registers are not defined in the datasheet, so you're forced either to use their API or to reverse engineer it and handle the communication yourself.

the I2C bus works as master slave. All i2c slaves are connected paralley (sd to sd, scl to scl). The iot2000 is the master, the sonsors the slaves. The scl is input on all slaves and is data clock signal (mostly 100kHz or 400kHz). Each i2c sensor has a adress settings jumper oder soldering bridge.
